Restrictions are being removed but we would remind you that Covid-19 still remains a serious threat to health and life. This is especially the case for those who are elderly or vulnerable. We will respect any decision you make in terms of continuing to wear masks or be social distanced.

Having both COVID-19 vaccinations greatly decreases the chance that you will have serious illness or need to be hospitalised. However, it is still possible to get the virus or pass it on.

We continue to run our clinics and to process new referrals, offering a mixture of face to face, online video and telephone consultations during which we can arrange imaging, offer advice on treatment and formulate plans for surgery. Planned elective surgery is now well underway with regular operating lists being undertaken and lists open for booking. All of our hospitals have strict procedures in place ensuring the safety and welfare of patients and staff.

COVID-19 risk assessments are still in place. You should not attend your appointment if either you or any member of your family has symptoms suggesting the presence of COVID, if you are in isolation or are awaiting testing following contact with an infected individual, or if you are in quarantine following international travel. It is important that you contact the clinic to advise them of your COVID symptoms so that a new appointment can be made. Missed appointments incur a significant cost to hospitals. Failure to attend with out a reason could mean your referral is cancelled.
